Certified Personal Fitness Trainer IFTA

CPR/AED Certified

Over 35 years experience in the fitness industry as an instructor, coach, trainer.

Training in multiple modalities, mat Pilates, strength training, TRX, cardio, flexibility movements, agility and reaction drills.

As I experienced the benefits of a lifetime of exercise in my own life, I gained an even greater appreciation for the role strength, mobility, and agility play in maintaining independence. That realization inspired me to step out of retirement and founded No Finish Line, where I can share the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over more than 35 years in the health and fitness industry through teaching classes to clientele of all ages, training one on one sessions in several modalities, and then there is my own personal experience with healthy aging.

We’re living longer, now we have to be sure we’re living well. Healthy aging needs to be addressed now so that in the decades ahead you can remain active, mobile, strong, and independent. The goal is not simply to add years to life, but to maintain the physical abilities that allow you to fully enjoy those future decades.

Over the years, I have invested considerable time in courses and workshops focused on the needs of mature adults in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond.

As someone who is in the same stage of life as many of my clients, I understand firsthand maintaining mobility, balance, strength, and energy requires more than strength training alone. Mobility, balance, fall prevention, walking endurance, stability, coordination along with reaction time are all important pieces so an active lifestyle is not only possible, it’s probable.

Whether you’re returning to exercise, beginning for the first time, or recovering from an injury, No Finish Line is where strength, longevity, and independence are built — one step at a time. This is where your journey begins. —building your future has no expiration date. It’s about movement which includes flexibility, stability, strength, and a strong core.

When exercise feels good, people stay consistent — and consistency changes everything.

It’s what allows us to move with confidence, recover from setbacks, and continue doing the things we love. I’ve seen this in my clients - and I live it myself.

“There is No finish Line when it comes to exercise”

No finish Line was born from a phrase I’ve shared with clients for decades. “There is No Finish Line when it comes to exercise” There is no endpoint; it’s about continuing, adapting, strengthening, and staying engaged in life.

Portland In-Home Personal Fitness Training For Those Who Are Ready for Change!

About Linda

I moved to Portland from Lake Tahoe to be closer to my grandchildren and begin a new chapter in my life. I brought with me a lifelong passion for movement, health, and helping others stay active. I quickly came to appreciate all that Portland has to offer, from its beautiful parks and walking trails to the many opportunities for an active and healthy lifestyle.

Fitness being a part of my life for more than 35 years, it impossible to not include it in my present life. For those many years, fitness has been both my profession and my lifestyle. Over those decades, I’ve taught thousands of classes and worked with people of all ages and abilities. When I actually stopped to calculate how many classes that represented, even I was surprised by the number.

I learned through my own experiences that aging doesn’t mean giving up the activities we love-it means continuing to adapt, grow, and stay engaged in life. I want to share that belief with others who are on the quest to make their lives stronger, active and independent. I continue to enjoy hiking, strength training, and staying active because I believe movement is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves at any age and because as I have said for more years more than I can remember “there is No Finish Line when it comes to exercise.”

Linda’s approach to training

My belief in functional training is simple, it works - It focuses on movements that help you with everyday tasks more easily, such as lifting, bending, and getting up from the floor safely. Over the years, I have completed specialized courses and workshops focused on the needs of mature adults. While some age-related changes are a natural part of life, many of the physical declines commonly associated with aging can be slowed, improved, and in some cases partially reversed through appropriate exercise and consistent training. Remember, There Is No Finish Line When It Comes To Exercise. Hiking, swimming, pickle ball, sports in general, if that’s your thing, you will be pleasantly surprised when activities becomes so much easier

Both my wife and I trained with Linda for several years. While working with Linda on a variety of fitness modalities our core strength improved.  Her knowledge about how your body will react to fitness exercises and concern for her clients health makes Linda an outstanding trainer and person.

Linda is a terrific with all ages and physical conditions. She is very attentive to correct form thus preventing injuries and getting the full benefit of each exercise. With her help, I was quickly able to go from sitting behind a desk to participating in century bike rides.

Nancy, retired VP Human Resources

My wife and I have worked with Linda for the past 2 years. Having worked with many trainers across the country we can say Linda is one of the best. She quickly figures out what each individual need and draws upon her deep knowledge of exercises, equipment and motivational techniques to tailor a program adapted to each person’s needs. She trained us in private sessions as well as in ski conditioning classes. Regardless, she brings the same commitment to each session. Linda ensures each individual gets attention and exercise adaptations for peak performance no matter what your level of fitness is. We would highly recommend Linda. She is the best.
